Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

February 20-16, 2017 – Eight Sunday in Ordinary Time (A)
“Rest in God alone, my soul.”   - Psalm 62

Jesus tells the disciples, "Do not worry about your life...  Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?"  Truly, God's eye is on all of creation. Do we trust in God's abiding presence?
Guest presenter, Robert Feduccia, reflects on the power of science to open the doorways to belief as we ponder the wonders of creation and our very existence. Sarah Hart’s song, Wonderfully Made, accompanies our prayer.

About The Five LoavesLike the scripture story reveals, we believe miracles still happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others. Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News

Food Kitchen Ministry Yearly Appeal

In 2016, Good Shepherd served 3,529 meals to the hungry. This weekend, at all the Masses, we will be collecting one-time donations to allow us to buy in bulk and stretch our dollars. Please contribute what you can financially and pray for both the volunteers and those we serve. To donate drop off at the church office or in the collection basket, please mark your check or envelope "food kitchen."
