Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

Between Sundays™ is a scripture reflection for the week (anticipatory of the upcoming Sunday).
Each Monday there will be a new video to view on our Home Page, (previous weeks can be found under the "Playlist" tab). Please come back often to explore the Sunday Scriptures.

Feb 23-Mar 1, 2015 – Second Sunday of Lent, Year B

Jesus takes Peter, James and John up the mountain where they see Moses and Elijah, and then experience Jesus transfigured. Jesus charges them not to tell anyone, except when “the Son of Man has risen from the dead.” We can just imagine the disciples’ confusion, first, at not being able to share an amazing experience, but secondly, not fully understanding what this “being raised from the dead” meant. It must have been a difficult walk back down!

Sometimes the experience of God’s grace and blessing is simply meant for us to ponder and express gratitude for in prayer. May we be “transformed” by God’s love and through our Lenten prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

About The Five Loaves:  Just like the scripture story, we believe miracles happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others.
Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News!

2014 REPLACE OUR ROOF

REPLACE OUR ROOF Appeal

Replace Our Roof brochure
Replace Our Roof pledge card

After much deliberation, our Facilities Council recommends that our 60,000 square foot flat roof be replaced sometime in the next year. The council determined that patching once again will increase the likelihood of leaks, not eliminate them.
