Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

Between Sundays™ is a scripture reflection for the week (anticipatory of the upcoming Sunday).
Each Monday there will be a new video to view on our Home Page, (previous weeks can be found under the "Playlist" tab). Please come back often to explore the Sunday Scriptures.

January 19-25, 2015 – Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus calls to Peter and Andrew, later James and John, and invites them to “come after me and I will make you fishers of men.” They left their nets and followed. What made Jesus’ invitation so powerful? What stirred them to such bold action?
This past week we knelt and prayed at my mother’s bedside as she went home to the Lord. Throughout her life, Emilie served God faithfully in many ways great and small – a true servant. Responding to the Lord may not always be a major life change for us like the first disciples, but it does require us to act when we hear Jesus’ call. May each of us find the courage and wisdom to follow their example and witness.

About The Five Loaves:  Just like the scripture story, we believe miracles happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others.

Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News!

Replace Our Roof brochure
Replace Our Roof pledge card

After much deliberation, our Facilities Council recommends that our 60,000 square foot flat roof be replaced sometime in the next year. The council determined that patching once again will increase the likelihood of leaks, not eliminate them.

  • It’s a great way to get your name in front of the families in the parish.  Advertisements may be purchased for a business, family memorial, or you can sponsor an ad supporting Catholic Charities, Knights of Columbus, Vocations, etc.
