Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

February 6-12, 2017 – Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (A)
“Blessed are they who follow the law of the Lord.”   - Psalm 119

Jesus continues the Sermon on the Mount - telling the disciples they must go beyond the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees to follow the law of love – the greatest commandment. He entreats them to let their ‘yes’ mean ‘yes,’ and provides many examples of his meaning. How often do we fulfill the letter of the law and not its spirit? Tom's song, Blessed Are They, offers time for reflection.

About The Five LoavesLike the scripture story reveals, we believe miracles still happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others. Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News

Help Feed Our Teens

Help Feed Our Teens!
Good Shepherd families have helped feed our teens on Sunday evenings for many years. But, planning a meal for 40 plus can be a rather overwhelming undertaking!
We need some prep, some cooks and lots of people who enjoy helping.  Cooks and donors are always invited to join us for dinner, experiencing the "fruits of their labor", and the exuberance and life of our young church.
Go to our Sign Up Genius page to see how and when you can help.
