REPLACE OUR ROOF Appeal

Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

Between Sundays™ is a scripture reflection for the week (anticipatory of the upcoming Sunday).
Each Monday there will be a new video to view on our Home Page, (previous weeks can be found under the "Playlist" tab). Please come back often to explore the Sunday Scriptures.

22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time – My Soul Is Thirsting
Like a dry creek bed, sometimes our spiritual lives cry out, “My soul is thirsting for you, my God!” (Psalm 63) The recent executions of Christians in Syria, war in Gaza, and Ebola plague in Africa have added to the drought we feel worldwide. So when Jesus tells the disciples, “Who ever wishes to follow me must take up his cross,” we might understand anew what it means to profess the faith in our own day.  As St. Paul write, May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts, so we may know the hope that belongs to our call. Steve Angrisano’s setting of the psalm animates our video reflection.

About The Five Loaves:  Just like the scripture story, we believe miracles happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others.

Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News!
