Five Loaves- Weekly Scripture Reflection

November 29, 2015 – First Sunday of Advent, Year C
“Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strengthto escape the tribulations that are imminent.”
-- Luke 21:36

Be vigilant and pray. That is Jesus’ message to us as we begin Advent. There are so many things in our culture that compete for our attention, especially in these difficult times. They can cloud our vision and make us spiritually drowsy. Mike Carotta suggests that our Advent rituals and spiritual practices help us to remember, in faith, that God is with us – Emmanuel.

About The Five Loaves:  Like the scripture story reveals, we believe miracles still happen when people are willing to offer their simple gifts for the good of others. Please share this free weekly video reflection. Feel free to post, tweet, or forward a link to those who need to hear the Good News!
