ACTIVITY DAYS/TIME: Currently, Good Shepherd girls interested in American Heritage Girls join an AHG troop nearby. Good Shepherd parish is supportive of chartering a troop if parent volunteers organize the troop board and leaders. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: Several Good Shepherd families participate in AHG Troop KS0138 chartered by Holy Trinity, Lenexa. The troop is composed of girls Kindergarten and up, therefore older girls are able to gain leadership skills by planning and implementing activities for younger girls periodically throughout the year. Girls K-6 meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Girls 7th and up meet every Tuesday night. AHG’s 6 program emphases are Christ-centered and create a well-rounded experience for the girls: Faith, Leadership, Social/Emotional, Outdoors, Citizenship and Life Skills.
