Linda has worked as a public accountant since 1984 for various firms throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. She has also had her own accounting and tax consulting practice since 1991. Linda grew up in St. Louis where she attended a Catholic grade school and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She moved to Kansas City for college and graduated from the University of Missouri- Kansas City with degrees in both Accounting and French. Linda and her husband, Gary have been parishioners at Good Shepherd since 2002; they have two adult children- Dave who is a physician on Long Island, NY and Jenny, an elementary teacher, who lives in Lenexa. Linda has served in many volunteer capacities over the years at several Johnson County parishes and public schools- as a religious education teacher, as a cantor, as a Cultural Arts Chairperson, as both a Cub Scout leader and a Girl Scout leader, and in various roles for high school bands, choirs and tennis teams. Linda enjoys working with people and is happy to serve the Good Shepherd community in this financial capacity.
"In these uncertain times, personal responsibility is particularly important. It is incumbent on us all to realize that personal responsibility includes fiscal responsibility- not just for our immediate families but for our larger family of Good Shepherd parishioners, as well. With prayer and mindful stewardship, God will provide and sustain our parish but we must all do our part."
