Starting the violin at the age of 10, Lisa quickly developed a strong love of music and the violin. Devoted practice lead her to many wonderful opportunities such as playing with the KC String Quartet program and performing with the district and state orchestras in High School. Becoming a swim coach also helped foster a great joy for teaching and nurturing children. Teaching became a strong passion early in her life and soon became her focal point after graduating from Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas with a degree in Music and Theology. She started her teaching career in Leavenworth at the Tune Shop and is now full-time with the wonderful staff at Blues to Bach here in Shawnee Kansas. Lisa devotes every second of her day to her many students by finding new and exciting venues and activities for her students to perform in. She helps them branch out into many different styles of music. Most of all, she listens to each individual's needs to develop a greater joy and appreciation for music. In her spare time Lisa performs at the KC Renaissance Festival as the "Sweet Violinist," and plays a variety of gigs in the area.
