Something about Mary

Mary has been a parishioner at Good Shepherd since 1988.  She worked here as the Youth Ministry Coordinator from 1988-1995 and again from 2005 to the present. During her 10 year “sabbatical” from Good Shepherd, Mary worked as a theology instructor and department chair at St. Teresa’s Academy, served as the Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Kansas City/St. Joseph and was part of the founding leadership team and the Chairperson for the National Association of Catholic Youth Ministry Leaders.She has enjoyed working as adjunct staff for the Center for Ministry Development for whom she writes Junior and Senior High School youth ministry sessions and directs Service Learning and Mission experiences for Junior and Senior High School students around the country. Her current job includes adult formation, working with parish leadership groups and administrative responsibilities.  Mary lives in Olathe with her husband Brian and son, Conor and their two dogs, Seamus and Brigid.
