Megan Hoelscher has served the Shawnee Mission School district since 2001.  She is the band director at Indian Woods Middle School and assists at Shawnee Mission South.  At Indian Woods, she conducts the 7th grade band, 8th grade band, beginning band,  percussion ensembles, and jazz bands.  She also teaches an elementary jazz band.  In addition, Megan has been an executive member of the Kansas John Philip Sousa Honor Band chapter since 2018.

She graduated from UMKC with her bachelor's degree in music education in 2003 and received her master's degree from KU in 2007.

Megan is a current member of the Sunrise Servants at Good Shepherd and enjoys the commitment to excellence that each worship team brings to the Masses at our parish. She currently lives with her husband, Doug, in Lenexa.
